Room 323 Amsterdam
I spend anywhere from 10 to 15 days in hotels each month, after seeing a similar project I decided I would start to document the views from hotel rooms.
Layover- Amsterdam

For the month of March I layover in Amsterdam each weekend so I decided to try a few new places. This weeks first stop was the monkey bar, its a bar I learned about from the TV show The Layover with Anthony Bourdain, a great place with inexpensive beer and a great atmosphere. Next stop was Susie’s Saloon, not really a new place but I have not been here in a long time, it was a nice day so we sat outside along the canal. For dinner we chose to dine at a Mas Y Mas a Cocina Argentina, not sure why but there are numerous Argentinian steak houses in Amsterdam. Good food the captain had the unlimited Rib special for 16 Euro and I decided on the mixed grill.

Taken on a flight from Amsterdam to Minneapolis at position 60N069.5W ( click here to see where this is). I was part of a three man crew and missed a great view of Greenland on my break but I will fly this route again next week and hope to get to see Greenland on that flight.

Austin, Texas

Layover Austin Texas so I headed to one of my favorite BBQ places the Iron Works in downtown Austin. After lunch walked around for a few hours as always a great walking city lots to see and do.
